        Polyethylene is a thermoplastic used in a wide variety of products. It is named after monomer ethylene.

        In the plastics industry it is often referred to as PE. Polyethylene is classified into various categories based on density and chemical properties. HDPE is a high density polyethylene material obtained from petroleum. It is the acronym for high density polyethylene, which is the English equivalent. Approximately 1.75 kg of crude oil is obtained from 1 kg of HDPE. HDPE is resistant to water and chemicals. Its mechanical properties are very good and they are especially resistant to impact and shrinkage. Normally the tensile strength is around 225-350 kgf. Temperature resistance up to 50°C

        HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) In other words, High Density Polyethylene with Turkish expression emerged in 1950. While the environmental stress values ​​of PE pipes initially pointed to 3.2 Mpa, this product, which was developed over time, became the current PE100 by being oxidized to 6.3 - 8.0 and 10.0 Mpa values.


        PE 100 pipes, HDPE pipes, the increase of these values ​​means as follows. High environmental stress value is a stronger raw material structure, which provides more water transmission by obtaining more durable pipes with thinner wall thickness.

        Thanks to the properties of polyethylene, it makes it one of the best alternatives among the pipe types used in pressurized clean water systems. They are used in the construction of underground and surface pressurized water network lines, sea discharge projects, fish breeding farm production cages.

        Diameters ranging from 16 mm to 1600 mm, PN4 (4 atm) - PN32 (32 atm) pressure classes, those up to 110 mm (110 not included) can be produced as coils or lengths. Those with a diameter greater than 110 mm are generally produced in 13.5 m lengths, and optionally in 6 and 12 m lengths.


        The oxidation of the environmental stress value of the PE 100 product to 10.0 Mpa creates a stronger raw material. Since the increase of this value indicates that the strength increases, it means that the wall thickness becomes thinner for the same pressure class. This means that the inner diameter of PE 100 pipe increases with the saving of raw materials. Improvements in these values ​​increase its market share as it offers a cost advantage over alternative products.
